I will introduce some of the things to see and enjoy at Tokyo Tower, a symbol of Tokyo and Japan.
What is Tokyo Tower?
I’m sure everyone knows Tokyo Tower as one of famous scenic spots in Tokyo. However, many of you may not be able to answer the question, “What is Tokyo Tower, in fact?”. Tokyo Tower, officially called “Nihon Denpa Tower”, was established in 1957 by the Nihon Denpa Tower Co. and nicknamed Tokyo Tower in 1958, and has been a favorite of many people ever since. In 2018, the tower reached 180 million visitors, and is still a popular tourist spot in Tokyo.
The Tokyo Tower has two observation decks: the 150-meter main deck and the 250-meter top deck. This is a great spot to get a great view of Tokyo from the center of the city.

Top Deck Tour to the Observation Deck
The Top Deck Tour is an experience tour that allows you to go to the Main Deck and Top Deck, the observation decks of Tokyo Tower. This is the only tour that allows you to enter the Top Deck, which is the upper level of the Main Deck.
Each person who joins the tour is given an audio guide in 13 languages.
From the Top Deck, you get a 360-degree view of the city, and the view of Tokyo from 250 meters up is breathtaking. Mt. Fuji can be seen beyond the cityscape.

The main deck, 150 meters above the ground, has the official shop and a café with a view. It’s a great place to shop for souvenirs from your travels, or just take a break and enjoy the view.
Foot town located on the first three floors has many restaurants and shops. Stop in for lunch, tea and shopping.

In the evening, Tokyo Tower is lit up by LED lights. In addition to the regular red lights, a special illumination event called Infinity Diamond Veil is held every Friday and Saturday from 21:00 to 24:00, where the color and design changes every hour.
